I applied to more than 10 schools and don’t know where I’ll get in or where ill go yet, so I need to send FAFSA to all of them. but it has a max of 10. after it has been processed, do i just go ahead and delete the colleges that i processed it for teh first time and add the next list? will my old colleges know i changed the list? do they see it? will the new ones know? what if i leave some on and delete only a few, can the ones left on be like oh she made a change to fafsa and it is on the college list? I’m very worried colleges being able to tell what I’m doing/where or even how many schools I’m applying to will negatively impact me.
There are plenty of past years’ forums on this, no need to point out the obvious and searchable, but I really am afraid and wanted to double check to make sure I’m not jeopardizing my financial aid or college decisions!
Admissions has better things to do than lurk around the financial aid office peeking at applicants’ FAFSA’s! After the first 10 have processed, delete them and add the new ones. If you later need to make a change, just remember to resubmit that first batch of schools so they get updated.
I called the gov office for assistance on this and once you have downloaded the schools you do not need to re-add the schools to get the data updated.
@singermom4 - You are mistaken. Updated information must be submitted to each of the schools in order for them to receive it. If you submit the update only to your final batch of schools, those are the only schools that will see it. The earlier batches of schools will not receive it.
