<p>Just a quick tip for anyone who will be applying for need-based financial aid for the first time - you will be doing the FAFSA in late January/early February. The online FAFSA is not available until 1/1/2012 - but you can apply for the PIN now. Here is the link:</p>

<p>The student and one parent each need a PIN. You use this to electronically sign the FAFSA once it is complete. You have to have applied for the PIN ahead of time - so something you can do now - very quick - just need birthdate and SS# for each person.</p>
