FAFSA and undocumented parents

Hello guys, so I say some previous posts where people got the error message:
“You reported that the Parent 1 (Father’s/Mother’s/Stepparent’s) Social Security Number (SSN) is all zeroes (000-00-0000), and the Parent 2 (Father’s/Mother’s/Stepparent’s) SSN is blank or all zeroes. You also reported that the parents’ tax return status is filed or will file, and the tax return type is not a foreign tax return.”
This is due to having undocumented parents who files their taxes with an ITIN and IRS form 1040. Now the thing is noone really says how to get by this screen and do the whole signing process. Me and my parents did this for the 2015-2017 FAFSA and they just sent in a signed page and voila! Now it looks like it’s not working for this year’s FAFSA, can anyone help me out?

Because your parents are undocumented, you will not be able to do anything on the FAFSA electronically.

They will have to submit the signature page each time a change is made to the fafsa.

Even though they worked and filed taxes with ITIN, they not be able to use the data retrieval tool. They will have to obtain a Of their tax return transcript from the IRS t validate the numbers on your FAFSA and to receive any actual aid

Have them print and mail signature page.

Ask the school if the tax transcript is required because I thought they relaxed that requirement due to DRT being out.

Also if you I filed a FAFSA last year and attended the same school you might have provided a tax transcript for 2015 already then.
