So one of the questions is if I'm registered with Selective Service, but I'm not 18...so no.

But I undestand that if you don't registered and you're a guy you pretty much don't get aid.

I want aid...but I'm not 18 yet, so....what do I do?

I don't want them to not give me aid......I don't turn 18 until Oct, the year I'm in college, so I can register once I'm already in college.....

This happened to us a few years ago. We checked “no” because our son was 17 1/2. Filed FAFSA. Then the processing of the FAFSA was put on hold because we checked “no”. So we changed it to whatever the option was that said “go ahead and register me for the Selective Service” and it went through fine.

So I’d answer it as if you were 18.

And remember, there’s (currently) no draft and no political will to reinstate the draft.
