<p>I've called the FAFSA hotline a few times, but the official has always been slightly ambigious, so I thought that I would ask my trusty CCers. I recently submitted the FAFSA, but since I did not have my mother's tax returns and W2's I had to approximately estimate; subsequently, I will need to amend the application in February. I am, however, applying to eight schools. The FAFSA application only allows the application to be sent to six colleges at a time though. Until I receive my SAR I cannot add anymore colleges. My question: If I adjust my application once I have my SAR to include two more colleges, but then at a later date change the rough estimates to correctly reflect my financial situation, will the other colleges receive the amended application? Or should I wait for the my mother's tax returns to be filed make the necessary financial changes and then add two more colleges?</p>
