2 questions

The locked thread with the FAFSA EFC Calculator link is not working for me -- Can someone provide a link to a "good" FAFSA EFC Calculator?

Some of the college websites provide a chart with an estimate of aid based upon "Family Income" -- In general, assuming no assets beside work earnings. is family income only W-2 + 401(k) deferrals? Would it exclude pre-tax deferrals for health care?

The student I am working with has family health care expenses thru a Section 125 Plan of over $10,000/year.

Here’s one calculator I found for 2010:

[EFC Calculator](http://www.aie.org/managing-your-money/finance-tools/efc_calculator/index.cfm)

Family income is typically AGI (line 37 of the 1040). Is the Section 125 plan like an HSA? Is it reported as an adjustment on lines 25 or 29? If so then it’s excluded from AGI.

Here are finaid’s and the CBs:

Thanks!

And a 125 Plan is a HSA
