Fafsa code help!

What are the fafsa codes for Harvard, Princeton, Yale, rice, washU, and Johns Hopkins? Some of them have more than one options and I want to put the right ones. Thanks!

Google is your friend.

See [Federal Student Aid - IFAP: iLibrary - Federal School Code List](http://www.ifap.ed.gov/ifap/fedSchoolCodeList.jsp)

You also could call the schools.

Your best bet is still to search via the function or look it up on the specific undergrad school’s financial aid website. Generally, when there is more than one code, it is the one with either college (ie: Harvard College v Harvard University) in the name, or will have the word ‘undergraduate’ in the name. Other indicators may be that all the other codes list specific graduate schools (law/medical). And again, if you’re still unsure, go and look at the undergrad financial aid websites.

Ya that’s what I was seeing, but for Johns Hopkins, they have the undergrad code but there is also a code for the specific schools such as sciences/engineering/architecture…

If you look at the financial aid website section for each school…and look for the requirements for undergrad freshman financial aid, you will find the codes you need.

Thanks! Do I send both the fafsa and CSS for all colleges?

I believe that all of the schools on your above list require the FAFSA and Profile, except Princeton which requires the FAFSA and their own financial aid form.

BUT…

YOU need to check the submission requirements on the college websites. You will easily find what you need to submit for need based financial aid consideration at the colleges you are applying to…as well as the deadlines.

If the school requires the FAFSA AND the CSS Profile, then yes, you must submit them both.

Look carefully on each website as some schools (princeton for example) require their own financial aid form.

Just go to each of the websites and make yourself a list…including the deadlines…as these submissions and deadlines vary wildly from school to school.

FAFSA
You listed the schools that you want to make your FAFSA information available to.

CSS

Thank you guys for the help! I’m gonna do the Princeton PFAA right now. I submitted the WashU financial form already so I don’t think a CSS is needed.
