Hi folks - long-time reader, first-time poster. This site is a lifesaver for those of us going through the college application process with our kid for the first time.

We submitted our initial FAFSA back in January with estimated numbers (primarily 2008 numbers with actual bank and investment balances). Now that our tax returns have been completed, I went online this weekend and submitted a corrected FAFSA to include the actual numbers. Unfortunately, our income went up somewhat due to a one-time payment we received last year and our EFC went up by almost two grand.

My question is - should I notify each school my son is seriously considering? One school requires it, but none of the others have any instructions on their websites or in the pamphlets we received. I know that each school will be official notified by the FAFSA folks, but I'm not sure if I should do the same on my end.

Thanks in advance.
