Hi, I was talking to a few people, and they told me that they all received paper correspondence after filling out the FAFSA. I filed about 8 weeks ago and I still have yet to receive such a letter. I received a few emails, and the others told me they received a few emails as well, but I still have not received any paper letters saying that my PIN and info was checked and passed through.

Does anyone else have this problem?

If you have received an email telling you that your FAFSA has been successfully processed, and if you can see a processed, accepted FAFSA at [Home - FAFSA on the Web-Federal Student Aid](http://www.fafsa.gov), you are fine. However, you may want to double-check the address on your FAFSA to make sure it is correct.

Kelsmom, I think I also posted something similar to this before. Was it you or someone else that said that they thought FAFSA only sends the letter for the first year?

now I’m really confused! I thought that, when submit FAFSA online, you get confirmation email, once it’s successfully processed. and they don’t mail processed letter unless we request. And I thought I can just down load the processed SAR from the link…? AM I missing something??

In all honesty, I think the FAFSA folks are constantly changing how they do things in response to technology. It is always available for download, anyway! :)

Here you go … from fafsa.gov:

You will receive your SAR by e-mail 3-5 days after your FAFSA has been processed, if you provided an e-mail address when you applied. This e-mail will contain a secure link so you can access your SAR online. If you have a “junk” folder or “spam” folder in your e-mail files, check it. The e-mail from us might be delivered there instead of your inbox. We encourage you to add our e-mail address, FederalStudentAidFAFSA@cpsemail.ed.gov, to your e-mail address book to help avoid delivery problems.

You will receive a paper SAR by mail in 7-10 days after your FAFSA has been processed, if you do not provide an e-mail address when you apply. Whether you apply online or by paper, we will automatically send your data electronically to the schools you listed on your FAFSA.
