I know that some colleges have a deadline in which they want these forms by (ex. Feb. 1, 2010). I know that this seems like a stupid question, but if I don't turn it in by the deadline, would I not be considered for financial aid at that school?

Also, what is the difference between FAFSA and CSS/Profile?
I am for sure going to turn in FAFSA but do I HAVE to turn in css?

It depends on the school how firm the deadline is. Calling them is the best way to find out.

The FAFSA determines students’ eligibility for federal funds, while the CSS Profile is used by some schools to distribute institutional aid.

Each college will have a checklist of required financial aid materials on its website. If it asks for the CSS Profile you will need to submit it.
