<p>Do we have to send same date for the FAFSA and CSS?</p>

<p>ex) Sending CSS today and sending FAFSA next month.</p>
<p>Doesn't matter; as long as you meet the school's deadlines.</p>
<p>I'm doing it the opposite. I'm done FAFSA and I'm sending CSS/Profile AFTER we get our W-2s later this month.</p>
<p>We have a 2/1/07 deadline at a couple of DD's schools.</p>
<p>It is so much easier to send the FAFSA and Profile the same date because the data is exactly the same. For example, you have to say what your cash, savings and investments are, those change daily. </p>
<p>Also, if you do the Profile first, right at the end you get a schedule of the FAFSA questions and answers for that data, which makes the FAFSA a snap. For you beginners out there, note that you get to see this screen exactly one time, so print it when you can.</p>
