FAFSA deadline

What is the deadline date to Make Corrections on your FAFSA?

EDIT:I already submitted a few weeks back. But I heard the deadline for corrections was sometime in April. Is this accurate?

It depends on your state of residence. Use this website to enter your state and find out.

[Student Aid Deadlines - FAFSA on the Web - Federal Student Aid](http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/deadlines.htm)

Thank you! I’m safe. I checked the site at 12:01 AM and my info is still up to make corrections. thank goodness

CHECK THE COLLEGE WEBSITES for their deadlines. These are sometimes NOT the same as listed on the link above. If you have already submitted your FAFSA check to see if you met the submission deadline. You may need to CALL the school with to find out about when you need to update. Conventional wisdom…get your 2010 taxes done NOW…and update the FAFSA ASAP. Remember that any financial aid package you get without a finalized FAFSA (meaning taxes completed) will be an ESTIMATE only. If you wait until mid-April to get your taxes done, you might not have an accurate award by May 1 when you need to make a matriculation decision.

Regardless…regarding the deadlines…check the COLLEGES…other sources may not be as accurate for each college’s purposes in terms of processing your application for financial aid.
