I'm confused. My son is applying to UCs and USC. UC deadline for Fafsa is March 2, but we've just been told that some mutual fund tax info won't come until mid-March. We submitted an estimate to Fafsa already, saying "will file" for tax status. Do we need to submit the corrected version based on finished 2006 returns before March 2? If not, how can schools give a FA package with his acceptance in mid/late March. UCLA even notifies in early March. Hope someone can clarify this. Thanks.

DO the estimate as accurately as possible, you will get the package, but probably not until April, so you have time to do the correction...if you estimated in the ballpark, your package would not likely change much.
