I’m looking to apply on the FAFSA’s website. Currently waiting to hear about graduate school admittance, so I want to add them. I applied at the University of Waterloo, but the FAFSA website seems to have no record of it. I was wondering if anyone knew their federal student aid number, because I can’t find it anywhere. I suspect it wouldn’t be on their website. I shall send and email to their help address in the meantime.
FAFSA is the Federal Application For Student Aid for US citizens and permanent residents. “Federal” means the US government’s application for aid. In other words, FAFSA applies to schools ONLY in the United States since the US does not plan on funding Canadian Colleges.
The University of Waterloo is in the country of Canada, our big neighbor up north.
The US Federal government is not going to supply an application for a university that is not part of the United States.
Actually, @“aunt bea” there are some foreign schools where the Direct Loans can be used. But this school isn’t one of them.
good to know @thumper1
I imagine the University of Waterloo does administer Direct Loans. Most Canadian universities do. Call their financial aid office and ask them for their code.
No, they do not participate in the Direct Loan program: https://uwaterloo.ca/student-awards-financial-aid/other-loan-programs/us-loans.
