<p>I have the same problem. My EFC is apparently too high to qualify for aid. My mom thinks that it's because we tend to spend very little and save a lot, relative to everyone else (we're Asian, haha) so is the estimated EFC very accurate? Should we just take it for granted that we just wasted around $70 for the PROFILE not to mention all that time for FAFSA and PROFILE forms?</p>
<p>I think you have now learned from CC that there many more people who are not as fortunate as you and famiily and now wish that their family should have saved a few dollars every month. </p>
<p>Now use the fafsa and maximize the savings through leveraging the assets, such as applying to better school, better loans (lower interest rates). See other posts under this username.</p>
