You have to think of other ‘plans B’.
A master’s in biology is worthless - it’ll likely cost you money and won’t being better options than a 'BS.
Being a PA is a good option but the requirements are different from the pre-med pre-reqs. Learn about them, see if the universities where you want to go also have a PA program and whether it’s possible to enter as a junior (under what conditions).
What about biostatistics? Bioinformatics? Have you taken AP calc ab, AP chem, AP Bio, AP stats, AP cs principles, AP cs A (or their dual enrollment, in, aice equivalents?)
How much science have you taken?
Evaluate this - you need to be in the top 10-20% at your chosen school.
So that is your parent’s choice. Rarely people buy a house from there saving completely.
Right now…you need to figure out if you can PAY the costs to go to Miami as a commuting student. Even without housing, and a meal plan…the cost exceeds the $7000 in merit plus the $5500 student loan you can take.
When I did my cost estimate above, I included nothing about personal expenses, or books. They aren’t free.
You say your parents will pay NOTHING…but they are saving to pay CASH for a house on a $65,000 a year income. I’m sorry, but something just doesn’t add up financially. How long do the plan to do this saving and at what rate per year?
Miami U Total cost without room and board is around $18,000.
-$7,000 (merit)
-$5,500 (loan)
-$3,500 (local scholarships and $2,000 is reneable)
Total cost left is $2,000. And I got $8,000 in bank saving for college.
So that takes care of the rest
Plus I will continue to work part time
Terrific…then you have it covered.
