FAFSA - Eligible AP/IB Exam Score

I have a question about the ACG Eligibility Data page near the end of the FAFSA. The specific question says:

Student's Eligible AP/IB Exam Score.

Check this option if you completed two or more Advanced Placement (AP) courses and scored 3 or better on at least two AP exams for the courses completed or

If you completed two or more International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and scored 4 or better on at least two IB exams for the courses completed.

The problem with me is that I have only taken one AP course and one AP exam since my freshman to junior year. But this year, I have taken on four more APs. Since first term senior year has passed, I technically have completed 3 APs total (the other two are year-long courses). The only thing is I haven't taken their respective tests since CollegeBoard only administers it in May. The question I'm getting at is does anyone know if this question is referring to having taken 2 AP courses and 2 AP exams as of now, or by the time I graduate?

Thanks in advance.

Everything academic really refers to what will have happened by the time you graduate. Go ahead and check yes so that you are flagged as possibly being eligible for the ACG. The college must check your HS transcript to verify that you are eligible before they actually give you the ACG. With my daughter the ACG was awarded well after everything else. As far as I recall it was right before her freshman semester started.

Thanks so much for clearing that up.

ACG eligibility has to be determined on a student-by-student basis. Answering the questions just flags you to be checked, as swimcatsmom says. The school will then look at your transcript to make sure you meet the requirements. You have to be Pell eligible to get an ACG, though.
