I know I know... I'm really late but I want to know if the FAFSA I filed today will even be considered or be ready in time for spring. I plan to apply by Nov 1st to University of Tampa, Florida gulf coast and Florida International University... although I might be too late

It’s not too late to file FAFSA and get federal loans or a Pell grant (if you qualify), but the schools may not have other types of aid left to offer. That’s sometimes the case with spring admits, but you can check with the admissions/FA folks at your schools. I would try to get applications in asap though so you have time to get decisions, FA awards, and make your final decision. Make sure you meet all of the deadlines the school has posted and file your FAFSA for next year before their priority FA deadline.

thank you so much!

By the way, when should I file my FAFSA for next year?

Jan 1 th form is available. File that day using estimated numbers. When taxes are done ASAP make the correction to the final numbers.

That’s what we’ve done to be at the top of the list.

It will be available on January 1st. If your parents’ tax situation is relatively simple they can probably estimate everything and you can submit with a “will file” tax status, though you’ll have to make changes when everyone has actually filed their taxes. Otherwise, submit when they have done their taxes but let them know it’s better to file early…in either case, file a few days before your school’s priority FA deadline.
