<p>I just completed my tax return and getting ready to amend FAFSA status from "will file" to "tax completed".
I am just so confused. Can someone please walk me through the process of doing this? Do I have to answer all the questions again?</p>
<p>My understanding…when you amend your FAFSA to tax completed, then any information that does not match your 2009 return would also need to be changed. If you printed out a copy, you can look to see which statements need to be amended-maybe circle them-and then put the correct answer on the sheet next to it, to simplify the process. <p>A hint for the future, when you do the initial FAFSA as will file, put in all your tax return #s (the numbers they say should come from certain lines of the tax return) with 0000s
like 1000, 10,000, 100…this makes them very easy to spot when you update the forms.</p>
<p>You do NOT update your assets ONLY your tax returns numbers</p>
