I was considered a ward of the court until I was 18. However, my legal guardians still provide me with money. Which is better to add their info to my FAFSA or my biological parents(especially because they make like no money)? Or is it better to leave it blank?

Has anyone had any past experience with this?

If you were a ward of the court until 18, you are automatically independent for financial aid purposes. You do not include ANY income info other than your own.

If you are verified, you may be asked to detail your income. If it's 0, the school will probably want to know how you lived on no income. At that time, you will let them know that your guardians gave you support. If they paid any bills that were specifically in your name, you would include that income as other untaxed income. If they just help you with food, let you stay with them, etc. - in other words, providing the kind of help parents often provide their college age kids - you don't have to detail that.
