<p>Yes. If you apply for financial aid anywhere, you’ll have to fill out the FAFSA. Schools use different formulas than the government does to determine need. Just as an example, the median aid package at Duke for those earning over $150,000 a year is around $10,000-$15,000.</p>
<p>well you could be wrong. there are many variables - how many dependents are there? other children in college? age of oldest parent? is there savings and/or investments other that retirement?</p>
<p>It is just impossible to tell from your question. Filing does make you eligible for student loans and your parents eligible for PLUS loans if needed.</p>
