okay, so my parents were ever married.
my mom is married now to someone else and my dad is single.
i live with my mom.
what am i supposed to choose if they are married, divorced, single?
if i choose married/remarried for my mom, then do i fill in my moms info and my stepdads info?
this is seriously so confusing.

For your mom’s marital status, put married/remarried since she is currently married to your stepdad.

You will fill out the FAFSA using both your mom and your stepdad’s financial information.

Since you do not live with your dad, you do not need to provide any of his financial data for FAFSA.

However, some schools use another FA form called CSS Profile. If your school requires this form, you may need to have your dad fill the part for non-custodial parents.

My son is a high school senior and will be attending college in the Fall. His mother and I were never married and are not together. She had remarried, had 3 more kids with him, and is technically still married but she has not lived with the husband for 9 years. My son has lived with me fulltime for 8 years. The current custody agreement is that I have full physical and shared legal with his mother. What parental information should I fill out of the FAFSA application? Thanks for any info on this.

Odder, you would fill out the FAFSA as the parent since your S lives with you.
