FAFSA & PINS--confused!

<p>Why do we need a PIN for the student and for the parent?? (I'm a dependent by the way.)</p>

<p>So do we get both at this website:

<p>The student needs their own PIN. One of the parents also needs their own PIN.</p>

<p>Both you and one parent will need to sign FAFSA. By each having their own PIN allows the parent and student to sign FAFSA electronically and not have to print and mail a signature page.</p>
