<p>When is this? I heard a rumor that it was feb 1…my dad doesnt believe that it is bc he says you have to do taxes before you can fill out fafsa but i saw online that you can use estimates and then just go back and tweak it after your legit taxes.</p>

<p>The OSU website says to file the FAFSA using estimates. Don’t wait until your taxes are complete. You can file the FAFSA as early as Jan 1st … the earlier the better. It takes the feds about a month to process it after you submit it so do it ASAP. We filed ours using estimates mid-January. I’m not sure on the deadline date … their website says Feb 15 but I also thought it was Feb 1 so, thinking it’s better to be safe than sorry, we did before Feb 1. Look here on their website:</p>
