FAFSA Processed, but no Notification Email?

<p>I went online to check my FAFSA status and saw that it was processed yesterday. However, I never got an email notification telling me that it was processed. (My email is valid and I've gotten notifications every previous year that I did the FAFSA.) </p>

<p>So, does anyone know whether there's a lag between the time they process your FAFSA and when they send you the email? </p>

<p>And if it says on their website that my FAFSA is processed, then it's processed, right? Or does not getting the email mean that something might be screwy?</p>

<p>This is my first year doing the FAFSA. I didn't get an email when I filed an early estimated version, nor did I get an email when I did the final, corrected version. The website says it's processed, so I wasn't necessarily expecting yet more confirmation. Should I be?</p>

<p>Did you enter a valid email address? I received a "Your FAFSA has been processed" email every year in the past (on the same day that it's processed); I don't know why I didn't get one this year.</p>

<p>Yes, I entered a valid email address. Actually they have two -- mine and my son's. He didn't get an email back from them either.</p>

<p>I didn't get anything either after doing the corrections. It was processed on Feb 14...just looked at the site. The first time I received an email within about 3 days if I remember correctly.</p>

<p>^ Actually, just looked to see I received the email notification on Jan 16th, one day after submitting it Jan 15.
But this time, after doing the corrections, nothing at all during the last 5 days since submitting.</p>

<p>^ Maybe there's just a present overload. I think that as long as it shows "processed", it's ok.</p>

<p>We submitted changes on 2/18 and received the confirmation email this afternoon (approx 2 days). I would guess this is a very busy time of year for them, and confirmations are a little delayed.</p>

<p>Received the confirmation email today, so there was a 2 day lag. As previous posters have said, it's probably because they are pretty busy this time of the year.</p>

<p>Gosh, I've never gotten an email, either for the estimated or corrected FAFSA. (Filed the corrected one over a week ago.) I just checked the copy I printed out and the email address is correct, and I checked the status page on the FAFSA site, and it says it's processed. Nothing in my spam folder either.</p>

<p>I guess I'll just assume everything is fine since it seems to be on the status page.</p>

<p>Strange.</p>
