FAFSA question 30

When you begin the 2011-2012 school year, what degree or certificate will you be working on?
I will be a freshman, what do I put for my answer?
1st Bachelor's Degree
2nd Bachelor's Degree
Associates
Certificate/Diploma
Teaching credential program
Graduate/Professional
Other/Undecided

I will be completing my gen. ed. classes my first two year, I would like to go into education(as of now).

Assuming you are enrolling in a four year college and do not already have a bachelors degree, you are working on your 1st bachelors degree. Your general education courses apply towards your bachelors degree.

Thank you!

i wish i found this thread earlier because i didn’t know how to answer that question either, so i chose “other/undecided”. does that question matter so much that i should resubmit a correction? if i do that though, i’m afraid that my fafsa application would be considered late.

I would correct it- but wait till you get a confirmation that it has been accepted.

The first date an accepted FAFSA is filed is the date that is used by schools as the date you filed … so making updates later does not make you “late.” However, if your initial FAFSA is rejected for some reason, the date is the date your first accepted FAFSA is processed.

thank you all so much, my fafsa now says “processed successfully”!

but i’m afraid there’s another dilemma - i went to WebGrants 4 Students to check on my status, and it says that my gpa verification was received by the Commission(green check), but they still hasn’t received my 2012-2013 FAFSA. why??? my status on fafsa says it was processed, though!

What is WebGrants 4 Students???

oh, webgrants 4 students is something new on CSAC. it helps students to track their cal grant status online.
and somebody on another thread told me to wait a while for it to update my status. so hopefully everything works out.

does anyone happen to know how exact you have to be on the fafsa? i just found that i’m 1 dollar off on my father’s income because i forgot to round the cents ($0.52) up. it’s just 1 dollar right? it’s not like it’s going to change my efc… is it still worth submitting a correction and waiting for it to process? i feel like it would lag my chances of getting the maximum amount of aid i could get. >.<

You are fine. The dollar won’t be a problem.
