fafsa question - divorced parents

I got an estimated 1900 dollar pell grant from my fafsa with my mother. My brother last year filled his out with my dad and he got something around 4000 dollars.

I was wondering if there was any way I could fill it out again using my dad's information even though i've already filled one out with my mother. Am I even allowed to do that since I live with my mother?

Any insight would be appreciated. :)

FAFSA requires that you report the financial information of the parent you live with most. If you live with your mother, you must use her information. You can’t update FAFSA with your father’s information because you don’t live with him, and that would be fraud.

You live with your mom, so you need to use her info.

Does your dad earn a lot less than your mom? If so, that’s why your brother got more money.

The first sentence doesn’t make any sense. Do you mean “… of the parent whom you live with the most”?

Right you are, chaos. Edited to add missing word.
