<p>Hi, I'm a rising sophomore in college. I did not fill out the fafsa for all of last year 2010-2011. I realize I should have, but should I do it now or wait until January 2012, when my school needs it? thanks.</p>
<p>You need to talk with your school about it. What school year will you need the money for, 2011-2012 or 2012-2013?</p>
<p>I think for 2011-2012 will be ok, but my parents jobs are not very stable. So possibly 2012-2013</p>
<p>You can file the 2011-2012 now so that the file is completed in case you need to ask for aid in the middle of the school year. It will also give you practice in organizing the paperwork so that you are ready to file the 2012-2013 FAFSA next January.</p>
