I logged into MyAwards and saw the following message:

*To be considered for financial aid, you must file a 2009/2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

As of today we have not received your file from Federal Student Aid. Please make sure of the following

* You have received a Student Aid Report (SAR) from Federal Student Aid.
If you have received the SAR, is UC Davis listed as one of your school choices?
If you have received the SAR, is there anything missing on it to make it incomplete?

If you have received the SAR and UC Davis is listed and everything is complete or you have questions, please contact your respective Financial Aid Office.*

I filed it over a month ago, but my SAR says that social security did not confirm me as a citizen. What the hell?! It says I have to send proof of citizenship to my school before I get financial aid. What exactly am I supposed to send?

Same deal here: I’m a transfer, and it’s showing “your package has not been finalized”. I suspect that it’s probably going to be pretty consistently that way for transfers; we’re often special cases, and the numbers work out somewhat differently for upper division students (bigger loan availabilities, for instance).

It seems like the school has at least recieved your guys’ FAFSA, but it says they don’t even have mine! That’s what I’m so confused about. I know other schools have recieved it, so is it just a matter of waiting, or should I call to ask about this?

scatterak, double check UCD is shown on your Student Aid Report (SAR). If it is, call UCD and ask them what to do. If it isn’t, add it. You might also want to call UCD if somehow UCD was left off your FAFSA just to let them know it is being corrected.

The UC Davis Financial Aid Office has not yet received a complete Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) from the Department of Education. To be complete, the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) shown in the top-right corner of your Student Aid Report (SAR) should show a number. If the EFC is blank, the SAR is incomplete and must be corrected and returned to the Department of Education.

I’ve checked my SAR…UCD is the there, the EFC is there, everything is filled out! Do they recieve all the FAFSAs at the same time? ARGGH THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING.

same problem here. i called them and they said you have to give them a few weeks to alter the information if you sent a correction, if everything is already correct you should call them ASAP! the finaical office that is!
