Could someone please tell us if we have to remove all 6 schools in order to get the FAFSA form sent to a seventh school or whether we can simply delete one school and change it over to the seventh one? DD thinks that would re-send the FAFSA to the other five. Is she right? Thanks

You can do it either way but I would just delete one school and replace it with the new one. Fafsa explained it to me over the phone that these are just files that are available for the schools to view. They see the corrected SAR and the original. You can call them to confirm this 1-800-433-3243.

yeah, ur DD is right..... That would resend the fafsa to other 5 schools and create unnecessary confusion...

Thanks for the responses, but they seem to contradict one another. I read on another thread that people should confirm that a school has received the info before deleting it and adding others. Do we have to contact all of the financial aid offices (especially if we delete them all to avoid duplication)? So the FAFSA info WOULD be sent twice to the schools that were not deleted if we only changed one school? Or are all the schools we submitted just there to be seen in the file when a school looks at it? I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand this....

have you received your Student Aid Report? if yes, then only make corrections.... otherwise wait for SAR... I dont think you need to contact Financial Aid Offices...
I hope this helps....

After you make corrections, they don't send you a confirmation email?
