FAFSA "Skip Logic" Question?

Hi there everyone, not sure if this question has been asked yet but…

Back in October, I filed my FAFSA for the upcoming 2017/18 school year. All of the information from last year’s FAFSA remains unchanged, so it made the entire process of filling out the FAFSA a lot easier. I noticed that a lot of questions were not asked this time however, such as the student’s assets, even though I remember filling this information out the year prior. My EFC came out to be 000, and after extensive research, I’m assuming I got to skip a lot of questions because of that (please correct me if I’m wrong)…HOWEVER, when I am reviewing my SAR, there is a blue letter “h” that is circled next to the student asset question. According to the website, “We assumed certain information to calculate your eligibility for federal student aid. We printed the assumption we made and a ‘h’ for each of these items. If our assumptions are correct, do not change them”. Does this mean my FAFSA is incomplete? There is no way for me to go back and change the “h” because these questions do not appear at all on the FAFSA itself. My school sent me an e-mail stating they successfully received my FAFSA and it is currently being reviewed on a rolling basis. Just wondering if anyone knew if this “h” means anything significant that will impact whether or not I will be receiving aid this year. Thank you!!

No, this does not mean your FAFSA is incomplete. Skip logic allows you to skip questions, and you don’t need to fear the H.
