I'm filling out my FAFSA right now and it went from question 73 (Did your parents become legal residents of this state before January 1, 2004?) all the way to question 82 (For 2008, have your parents completed their IRS income tax return or another tax return?). It completely skipped all the questions in between regarding how many people live in the household, number of college students in parents' household, etc. Did anyone else have this happen to them or does anyone know why? Thanks a bunch!!

Keep going. They will be there, just in a weird order.

I got all the way to the page where it's asking you for your PIN number...i figured that would be the end of the application...?

You can review what you have filled in. They came after the tax questions but in a rather random order.

I've went through it like 3 times. I really don't think they are there. Will that have an effect on the financial aid I recieve?

The same thing happened to me. I called FAFSA Help and they said those particular questions can be skipped based on income...mine being very low resulting in low EFC. I was concerned because I have older son heading into 3rd yr of college & his brother starting in Fall 2009 & needed them to know I will have 2 in school. Apparently, it doesn't matter if income is low. If this is not the case w/you, I would call to find out why.

If the parent AGI is below $30k and your parents were able to file a 1040a or 1040ez (which I think you said they did in another post) then you qualify for the automatic 0 EFC. This allows you to skip certain questions unless you are from certain states that require you to complete all the questions. Our State does not allow us to skip questions (don't know why) so I don't know which questions can be omitted - the ones you mention sound logical as the family size etc would be irrelevant if you qualify for the automatic 0 EFC..
