Hey everybody,

So for the second year in a row I'm having major problems with my FAFSA, yaaaay! This time, there is an error with my submission date of my FAFSA. I completed, signed and submitted my FAFSA around the 20th of February of this year. On the 22nd, I received a confirmation email from the FAFSA website stating that my SAR was completed and that my information was being sent to my university (Temple). However, now when I check my SAR, it states that I submitted my FAFSA on the 3rd of March and that the information was sent to Temple on the 4th. Temple's submission deadline was the 1st of March, is there anything I can do?

Hopefully, you saved the original email confirmation you received. I would forward that to Temple with an explanation of why you are doing so.

Was there an important financial aid deadline at Temple between the 22nd of February and the 3rd of March? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it.

If so, I’d forward a copy of that first confirmation email from FAFSA to Temple with an explanation that you actually submitted your FAFSA by the 22nd of February.

I do have my original email confirmation as well as the director of student financial services’ email. And the deadline for submitting the FAFSA for Temple to consider you “on time” and within the priority aid period was the 1st of March.
