FAFSA Talk

So my corrected fafsa just told me that my EFC acutally decreased from the original. Does this mean that I will get more financial aid from Dartmouth?

Only Dartmouth’s FA people can answer that question. FAFSA is not all they use.

why was my fafsa correctd all of a sudden too?

Dartmouth only uses the FAFSA to determine if a student is eligible for federal aid (PEll, AGC, stafford loans, etc.) or state aid if you are a NH resident or live in another state where they would have a agreements in place that your state aid could be used in NH.

If the reduction of your EFC now makes you Pell grant eligible, then you will have a Pell grant in your FA package.

Dartmouth distibutes its own institutional aid using the information from the CSS profile, non-custodial profile, International student aid application, etc.
