Filled out FAFSA this morning Happy New Year

Also filled out mine. I am so happy that this is over with. All there is to do is sit and wait.

wow, you did it already? jesus christ, how long did it take? 20 seconds? lol

Please do not use my God's name like that.

I finished it! It was painless!

And I was shocked to find out my real EFC. Couldn't believe it was that low!

Just finished mine (well, besides the fact I waited until today to tell my mom to request a PIN #, so I guess I will find out the EFC on wednesday)

My EFC is 80,000. ***. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!??!?!? Government screws me once again

I finished mine at 3:30am ^^ (yea, I'm a freak, I know...)

I'm guessing you estimated everything?

Important Question...

What if the estimates are completely wrong for some reason? .... im problaby over thinking this but i would like to know what happens if the real numbers turn out to be different

My husband is 100% commission so I am guessing our estimation will always be bizarre. I'll just adjust it ASAP.

Judging from what my predicted EFC is, if yours is $80k, you parents have annual income over $200k and/or you have savings of $100k. No sympathy from me.

squid: there wasn't much to estimate, to be honest. and then fafsa told me, based on what i'd entered, that i could skip a huge chunk of the form. so i did. o.O

gotta love skipping chunks! LOL

Crash Blair...what was your EFC?

Umm it's still processing. I'm guessing it'd be 0 unless they expect me to work...

If the estimate is way off, your school will likely adjust your award after they get the updated numbers.

So the best idea is to estimate everything and then just update?

Absolutely

you guys already got W2's for 2005 to do the fafsa? wow... my parents don't get theirs till next month..
