Fafsa verification and scholarship ?

My daughter is a finalist for a scholarship (not from her college). They asked for a bunch of financial info and of course the SAR. I included it and the page that says our SAR was selected for verification..
Do you think the fact that our SAF was selected for verification will hurt her chances on the scholarship? Or is that a common enough thing?

Very common...They usually verify 1 out of 3 apps in these instances- applications with reported income that seem excessively low, or applications accompanied by complicated tax info, i.e. not eligible to file a 1040A, EZ, etc. which needs an explanation and MAYBE proof.
For the most part it will require you to fill out a simple form that duplicates the tax/income info on the fafsa, but will also ask for names of companies/agencies/people that you have calculated in the fafsa as sources of your income or debt.

So then the fact that we were asked to verify will most likely not hurt her chances at winning the scholarship?

not at all to the scholarship committee , they will assume it's the truth unless proved otherwise later on.

Thanks for your help.
