<p>Does anybody know what to do for the verification? Do we have to wait for each of the individual schools to contact us for extra documents, or will FAFSA be contacting us back?</p>
<p>Use the Search function with the title of your thread and you'll get many threads from people who have been chosen for verification in the past.</p>
<p>Every FAFSA we have file has been selected for verification. 30% of FAFSAs are randomly selected. </p>
<p>It is the school(s) that will contact you and ask for documentation. Usually each school has their own form you must complete. When we have been verified we have had to complete the form and provide copies of all tax returns, W2s, 1099s that are reported as untaxed income.</p>
<p>According to one of the financial aid officers that posts on CC you should not send anything until requested by a school. You can have it copied and ready to go for when/if the request arrives.</p>
