So I am applying to 18 schools and the FAFSA only takes 10 schools at a time. Around 20 days ago, I successfully submitted my FAFSA to 10 of my schools. Tonight I tried to add the remaining 8. I logged onto my FAFSA account, clicked “make a correction to my FAFSA”, and added in the remaining 8 schools. Next, it asked me to re-enter my financial info (it was already saved from the last time) and I tried to click next so that I could continue to the “sign and submit” page… except it won’t let me. When I click on next, nothing happens. I’ve reloaded the page and still, the button is unclickable. I’ve made sure that all questions were answered. No message appears telling me that anything is wrong (like it normally would if something was wrong). I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I’m seriously lost on what to do. There are spaces where I inputted a number (loaded from the previous FAFSA submission) but there are blank spaces where the question would have been. Should I just redo it all? Start a new FAFSA with the rest of the schools?
@thumper1 I uploaded a picture of what it looks like from my side. Go to my profile to see it closer.
I am 100% sure that there is supposed to be a question about how much my parents pay to tax deffered retirement or whatever next to the “3201” number, yet the space is blank. I am also 100% sure that the space next to the “5” is supposed to have a question asking about the number of exemptions are claimed on my parents’ tax return.
I went to talk to my counselor today and he had me log into my FAFSA account using a school computer to show him what I mean. I did, and viola, it was suddenly working. I come home and it no longer works. I’m not sure what’s going on. I will try accessing my account tomorrow at school again.
^ @ayedee try a different computer. Or download a different browser to the laptop you are using and try that (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer).
