Fafsa?

<p>I have a big problem.</p>

<p>I didn’t apply for Fin Aid by Feb 15 because my financial situation wasn’t stable. As in, things were expected to chance within a few weeks…my dad was on the verge of losing his job and this caused a lot of friction between all of us…so much that my parents might be getting a divorce. </p>

<p>my situation is A LOT more stable now. Dad has kept his job and my parents are trying to find a good marriage councelor. </p>

<p>my dad works full time and my mom part time and together they make around 120K. </p>

<p>i still need to apply for fin aid. Do you think if I submit it this weekend with a letter or something like the above explaining why I didn’t fill it out earlier, they’d accept it and award me some kind of aid?</p>

<p>What about other schools like GWU, Barnard, NYU, AmericanU?</p>

<p>I’m in a similar situation. I did submit the fafsa but the noncustodial parental profile waiver we sent in was late. i was accepted but received no aid because of this, and they said in the financial aid decision that they can’t grant me anything at this point. I cannot go without financial aid so I’m going to call them and see what can be done. i feel like i shouldn’t be give no money based on a mistake/misunderstanding :/</p>
