FAFSA's (stupid) 6 college limit

<p>Beside mentioning how retarted the 6 college limit is, I am looking to clarify a few things about this. I found this thread:</p>

<p>The second post seems to clarify as to what to do when there are more than 6 colleges and corrections need to be done. But I have a few questions regarding that.</p>

<p>1) Are you sure that the 6 original colleges will still recieve my SAR information? even if I added 6 new colleges after recieving my SAR (the first time)? Do I need to call each of the original schools first to make sure they recieved it before adding (or should I say substituting) new schools? Or is it true that as long as the school is part of a "transaction"...they will be able to retrieve my FAFSA information?</p>

<p>2) After being done with "transaction #1" and than wanting to add more colleges... Why would you go to "make correction" section rather than the "add/remove" colleges section? Whats the diffrence? does it matter which one to go to?</p>

<p>3) After getting taxes done and having to make corrections to FAFSA...I need to make correction to both Transaction #1 and #2...first question is...Do I recieve an updated SAR after making corrections?...second question is...Do I do both (transaction #1 and #2) on the same day? or do I do one and than wait to recieve an SAR for that one and than do the second one?</p>

<p>Im really sorry for the overload of questions...but I am just really nervous and cofused because getting aid will make or break my college dreams. If someone who knows what they are talking about and has went through the process before can help me out...I will REALLY appreciate it!</p>

You submit to the first 6 schools (print out to have a back up copy). </p>

Add more schools.
You should get a confirmation in about 2/3 days</p>

<p>Yes.. If you are attending college starting fall 2008 for the 2008-2009 school year, you cannot file the FAFSA until january 1, 2008</p>
