Fail vs. Withdraw Fail

Hey -
so this one class i'm getting an F in (for sure), i was thinking about getting a WF (Withdraw Fail) instead of an F. what should i do? should i just stick with the f on my transcript... both are the same basically, because they both will count as credit hours and will have no quality points, but i figured if in the future someone looks at it they will see that i withdrew from the class just "too late".

thoughts?

Why not do your best to at least get it above an F? They are both the same and both will require explaining in the future. A WF indicates you didn't even try. At least go for the D and be able to say you screwed up and kept trying til the end and then retook the course the next semester and got an A

There is absolutely no way to get above an F. I talked to my prof and that's what I'm getting. But maybe preempting the F with a WF would be better... I dunno.

Well, at least with WF, there exists the potential that you would have passed had you remained in the course, and it thus sends a less alarming message. So, given the choice, I would think withdrawing is what makes sense, ****ty an option as it is.
