Failed a Semester of English in Freshmen Year.. Chances of getting into a UC?

Well I failed a semester of of English my Freshmen year. I've just received the news about that my SENIOR year! Very frustrated, I began to think about my chances of attending UC's. Now that's my question to you guys. Can I still get into a UC if I failed my semester of English. I am currently making it up this year as my senior year. I have received A's the rest of my high school career in English till now. I have taken AP Courses my Junior year Bio/History. My Sophomore year I haven't received a B+ or lower in any of my classes So yeah :/

You can earn your A-G requirements other than just passing a class in high school.

From the UC website:

SAT Reasoning Examination

Writing section: Score of 560 satisfies first three years; score of 680 satisfies entire four-year requirement.

SAT Subject Examination

Literature: Score of 560 satisfies first three years.

AP or IB Examination

Score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP English Language and Composition or English Literature and Composition Exam; score of 5, 6 or 7 on the IB Language A1 English HL exam
