I'm a sophomore in high school, and I failed my second semester elective class. It was Psychology Honors. I know this is going to look absolutely terrible on my transcript when I apply to colleges, so have I destroyed any hope of getting into a respectable school? I do extra-curricular stuff (I'm a classical musician) as this summer I'm volunteering at my doctors office. Haven't taken any standardized tests yet, but this grade has certainly taught me a lesson: I am definitely going to try my hardest to get straight As next year and great test scores.
What do you think?

You can retake any online class, no? I’m sure your school will understand. If they are really strict, I would suggest taking the same class from an independent source, getting a good grade, and having the schools switch the grades. Good luck.
