Failed AP Calculus

Hello,

I applied for many colleges, 4 CSU’s, 4 UC’s, a couple of privates and USC. USC asks for mid year report of senior year, and I failed AP Calculus. I want to know how much that will effect the admissions and how I can fix it. Should I take a calculus class at a community college or should I just go ahead and try to do better second semester? I have met my USC admission counselor, should I tell him anything? Thank you.

I applied for Aerospace Engineering.

CSU’s require that you pass your a-g courses Senior year with a C or higher. UC’s (except for UCB/UCBL) require a 3.0 weighted GPA to maintain your provisional admission and UCLA/UCB require a 3.0 unweighted GPA with no more than 2 C’s. Your F could result in your acceptances being rescinded. I would see what the USC admission counselor says in regards to your grade and follow their lead about what to do for the other schools.
