I just finished 9th grade. I took 4 pre-AP classes and one AP class (AP Human Geo). I got my score back & I received a 2.
How will this effect applying for college?
Should I try retaking the test next year?
Oh & I won’t be majoring in anything close to geography at all
You are just a rising sophomore - don’t worry too much about it! Also, I did not understand - you said you took four classes and one class - did you mean four classes and one exam? If so, why did you only take one of the four exams?
Your score shouldn’t affect you at all. I wouldn’t even bother retaking it because most colleges don’t even give credit for AP human geo
You do not need to ever report that AP score to anyone. It is not required on college applications.
Ok thanks guys & @yikesyikesyikes I took 4 Pre-AP classes & one AP class (5 advanced classes total but only one AP class) because that was the only AP class available for freshmen… & @vegita256 I want to go to BU & they do give cred for 3+ score on AP Human Geo test & I love DBZ
Don’t report it, don’t retake it.
Oh Pre-AP, I probably missed the “Pre” part.
Don’t retake it- waste of time. You can simply choose not to report it.
AP tests are not really used in admissions… every HS offers a different amount of them and many of AP scores are gotten back after you have been accepted to a University. They are used to place you in the right level of classes in college and you can get credit for classes as well.
So what to learn from a 2 on AP Human Geo? How did you do in the class? Did you get As? Bs?
How did you study for the AP test?
