Failed Calculus

I dropped calculus the first time I took it, and failed it the second time I took it. How will that affect me when applying to international relations master's programs? Obviously I want to go to top international relations programs. And, is there anything I could do to remedy this?

Take it again and get a good grade.

Yes, take it again and make it your mission to ace it.

I have a slightly different take. If calculus is not required to graduate in your major, it may not matter. Take a statistics class or research-focused math course to show that you have skills in those areas. IR is not really a quantitative-focused field.

I have never taken a math class beyond statistics, bombed the quant section of the GRE and got accepted everywhere I applied anyway - because my field is qualitative, not quantitative.
