Failed chemistry regents

Hey guys, this is my first time using this so I don’t know if I’m doing it right  Anyways, I failed my chemistry regents (got a 60). What do I do? I want to go to a suny or CUNY school and I want to be in the medical field. Will this affect my chances and what should I do?

Ugh, regents exams. Hated them but as a someone who did horribly in the living environment regents (passed after 7 tries). Retake it in August and do better. Find a tutor if you are near a college go to a professor office and check with them if any one of their students is free to tutor you. I did it and he found one for me. Med schools won’t look at your regent’s scores. Don’t give up because you failed. I’m a rising college junior.

Ask your guidance counselor.

  1. What happens if you fail a science test?
  2. Can you still graduate?
  3. Can you retake it?
  4. How were your grades?

Keep in mind that Chemistry has a down curve so the 60 may not be an accurate reflection of your grade. Also something that could offset that is taking AP Chem and performing better bc the significance of the class is definitely higher than just introductory Chem.
