APUSH at my school is divided up into three semester long classes. I failed the third semester (didn't do much homework or put a whole lot of effort in) and have to retake American History next year. Today I received my AP exam scores and I scored a 4 on the APUSH exam. Will failing the class prevent me from getting college credit? (If I even get into college, that is.) At first I didn't think so, seeing as you can take an AP exam without even taking the class, but now I'm getting sort of paranoid. The exam is the only thing that counts for college credit, right?

The test is the only thing considered in getting the actual credit.

Correct, the colleges will just look at the AP exam score .This is because each school teaches the class differently and with various degrees of difficulty.

ask your teacher to change your grade to at least a B for the 4 on the ap test. lots of schools have teachers who do this pending ap exam grades.
