So i’m taking economy management and i swear i hate it. Most of the classes are easy and fun, but for me personally, it’s quite meaningless. Like it’s not what i want to do. But here’s the thing : economy management have accounting classes. And after failing two out of six accounting classes that i’m supposed to take, i feel like i lost my hope on graduating. I also failed mathematics economy even though my grade for statistic is ok. I swear i learned at least two weeks before the class even start. But i still failed for those accounting classes and the mathematics economy.
I feel like an utter failure. Anyone taking economy management here ?
You’re mentioning that most of the classes are easy and fun. I don’t think they should be this way, at least when you’re going for a degree that’s not going to land you working at starbucks.
If you’ve failed these classes, you have to retake them even if you’re going to be switching majors. You might as well make the best of it by dedicating your time to it to ensure that you pass the next time or the first time if you want to finish pursuing this degree. Doing good in a class a lot of the time requires a lot of practice.
I would talk to your academic advisor. Discuss if there is a path to graduation with your major, if you might be better off an another area of study etc.
In terms of improving moving forward have you been meeting with professors regularly, asking for extra problem sets, looking for online resources, doing every homework and going over mistakes, studying hard for exam?
