Im a junior in HS, and final grades came out. In physics my 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades were 85,81,85,80. At the end of the year we took a final, and i failed terribly and got a 45. It was counted for a 5th quarter grade and now despite all my efforts to hold my grade up, For my final grade i have a 75, wtf. What am I supposed to do? Can I send in my report card to colleges so they dont think I got 70’s the whole 4 quarters? I am really stressed out cause i know schools and college coaches (im an athlete) ask for transcripts, and it will say i got a 75 for my final grade and there will be no explanation. Please can someone give me advice or something i feel like crying, cause this is going to bring my gpa down a whole bunch all because of 1 test.
Shit happens theres not much u can do
Colleges will only accept official transcripts from your high school and the grades posted on that transcript.
There is not much you can do about the grade on the transcript, as others have already pointed out. How the “C” will be viewed depends on so many things, including the level of selectivity of the colleges you are applying to and your intended major. If applying to a somewhat selective school for a STEM related major, perhaps you can take a SAT II subject test in physics and send that score in part of your standardized score submissions? Not saying it’s a must, but at least something to look into.
